Big news from Sasga Yachts. The Spanish shipyard has announced the acquisition of Nautic Center Mallorca and the creation of Sasga Palma – Official Yacht Service, the brand’s new official base on the island, featuring new offices, an enhanced structure, and a wide range of services.
The new facility has been created with the aim of becoming a key reference point both for Sasga Yachts owners — who on the Balearic island have their official sales and after-sales service center — and for owners of any other brand in need of professional nautical services, including maintenance, refitting, or boat care.
Sasga Palma : a wide range of services
At the core of the new base is, of course, the commercialization of Sasga Yachts models, supported by a complete and direct consultancy service provided by the shipyard. This is complemented by the sale of pre-owned boats selected according to the strict technical standards that have always been one of the brand’s defining traits. Naturally, there is also a full after-sales assistance and support service, designed to ensure reliability and peace of mind while using the boat.
Alongside its commercial activities, Sasga Palma also offers a broad range of nautical services dedicated to the maintenance and care of boats. Among these, the Boat Care program stands out: a scheduled inspection system designed especially for boats that remain moored for long periods or for owners who do not reside permanently on the island. The service includes regular checks of the main onboard systems — from engines to electrical and electronic systems, from bilge pumps to seacocks — as well as a general inspection aimed at verifying the actual condition of the boat. This gives owners a preventive approach, allowing them to constantly monitor the condition of their vessel and take timely action when needed.
The facility also provides technical and mechanical maintenance services, annual haul-out management with hull inspection and antifouling application, as well as winter storage and custody solutions. These are complemented by aesthetic and refurbishment works, such as teak deck replacement, fiberglass repairs and painting, polishing, interior and exterior upholstery, and the production of custom covers and sun awnings.
A key role in Sasga Palma’s operations is also played by refit projects, conceived as tailor-made interventions rather than standardized services. Each project begins with a preliminary inspection of the boat and is developed as a true, structured plan, with clearly defined work phases, coordination of the various professionals involved, and careful control of timing and costs. These projects range from partial upgrades to more extensive refits that may include interior spaces, onboard systems, and deck work, always with the goal of maintaining high quality standards and enhancing the vessel’s value over time.
Services at the Port of Mahón
Supporting and complementing the activities carried out by Sasga Palma, the shipyard can also rely on the infrastructure of Varadero Menorca in the Port of Mahón. Here, the group has access to an 18,000-square-meter dry dock area, 5,000 square meters of water surface, travel lifts of 35, 50, and 150 tons, as well as a fixed 12-ton crane.
This operational capacity is set to grow even further in the coming years. The planned expansion to handle vessels of up to 300 tons by 2027 will make it possible to manage haul-outs, repairs, maintenance projects, and refits for larger boats.
