The model marks an important evolution in the Italian shipyard’s lineup, as it aims to combine the typical performance of large sporty RIBs with a level of livability that is surprising for a vessel measuring approximately nine meters in length. The vessel’s character emerges immediately from the very first maneuvers. The torque of the two Honda V6 engines makes itself felt even at low RPMs, allowing the Solemar SE30 to get out of the water in no time, offering a very convincing feeling of responsiveness and safety.
At 20 knots, the instruments indicate 3,100 RPM and a total fuel consumption of just 34 liters/hour. Stepping up to 25 knots, one of the most frequently used cruising speeds in daily navigation, the engine speed settles at 3,700 RPM with a consumption of 51 liters/hour. Even at 30 knots, the behavior remains particularly efficient: the engines run at 4,200 RPM and total consumption stays under 80 liters/hour, stopping at 77.5 liters/hour.
The maximum performance confirms the sporty nature of the project. With the throttles fully down, the GPS records a top speed of 47.3 knots, an absolutely remarkable result for a cabin maxi RIB equipped with two cabins and four berths.

The test highlights one of the most convincing aspects of the Solemar SE30: the hull’s behavior. When tackling tight turns at around 30 knots, the boat leans progressively and in a controlled manner, always maintaining a precise and predictable trajectory in both port and starboard turns.
During the test, the lake presents sustained wind and a short, steep chop of about 40-50 centimeters; conditions that allow for a concrete evaluation of the hull’s quality. Navigando with rough water, the Solemar SE30 demonstrates a remarkable ability to cut through waves, absorbing impacts smoothly and ensuring a high level of comfort on board.
The acceleration test also confirms the excellent overall balance of the design. The boat quickly reaches 40 knots while always maintaining a feeling of great stability and control.
Honda BF250 V6 engines: advanced technology and low fuel consumption
The pair of Honda BF250 V6 engines installed on the Solemar SE30 represents one of the most interesting solutions available today in the high-performance outboard segment. These are 3,583 cc, four-stroke, V6 engines equipped with Honda’s proprietary VTEC technology, which optimizes power delivery at different RPMs, and BLAST, a system designed to boost low-end torque and improve acceleration during planing. Added to these is the ECOmo system, which automatically intervenes at cruising speeds by adjusting the air-fuel mixture to reduce fuel consumption without penalizing performance. The technical package also includes electronic throttle control, automatic trim support, and a 90-amp alternator, which is particularly useful for powering the growing electronic equipment found on modern boats.
While underway, the data recorded during the test confirms the efficiency of this propulsion setup: at cruising speeds between 20 and 30 knots, fuel consumption is particularly low in relation to the total available 500 horsepower, allowing the Solemar SE30 to combine high performance, range, and competitive operating costs compared to other engines in the same category.
How the Solemar SE30 is made
Once back in port, the second soul of the Solemar SE30 clearly emerges: the one dedicated to life on board. The cockpit hosts a large dinette characterized by a spacious U-shaped sofa flanked by an opposing linear seat. This configuration comfortably accommodates six to eight people. In the center is a convertible table which, once lowered, converts the entire area into a generous sunpad.
The helm station is designed to offer maximum comfort while navigating. The available space allows for the installation of three large displays dedicated respectively to cartography, navigation management, and Honda engine monitoring. The equipment is completed by Honda electronic throttles with advanced functions such as automatic trim, cruise control, and single-lever control.
The stern platform is also very wide, surrounding the two outboards and significantly facilitating access to the sea. At the bow, instead, there is another large sunpad, sized to comfortably accommodate two or three people, completed by a backrest that creates a pleasant chaise-longue configuration facing the sea.

The true distinguishing element of the Solemar SE30, however, is represented by the interior spaces. The bow cabin surprises with its particularly generous dimensions and houses a large double bed. But it is at the stern that the design shows all its originality for this category: a second independent cabin with a queen-size bed, bringing the total number of berths to four.
