Wellcraft expands and presents the new Wellcraft 28 in Cannes

Wellcraft continues its strategic expansion with the new Wellcraft 28, decisively entering the active dayboating segment. A boat that combines outstanding performance, versatility, and accessibility, suitable for both occasional boaters and passionate explorers.

The official presentation of the new Wellcraft 28 is scheduled for the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025. This will be followed by the world premiere at Boot Düsseldorf 2026, before its American debut at the Miami International Boat Show in February 2026.

Wellcraft 28, designed for sharing

The new model was designed for spending days on the water in good company. At 8.56 meters in length, it offers the largest seating capacity in its category. The aft cockpit is fully modular: it easily adapts to moments of relaxation, fishing, or watersports. The focus on conviviality translates into smart solutions that make access to the water easier, while also offering the possibility of overnight stays on board.

Performance by Wellcraft

True to its identity, Wellcraft delivers an exciting and responsive ride. At its core lies W.I.S.E. (Wellcraft Infujection Structure Engineering), an innovative construction process that combines injection and infusion to create lighter, stiffer, and faster hulls. The result is an optimized power-to-weight ratio that enhances performance, reduces onboard noise, and ensures excellent stability even in challenging conditions. Thanks to the double-stepped hull, the boat planes more quickly, improves overall efficiency, and consumes less fuel. Its handling is responsive, powerful, and smooth: instant acceleration and agility that make every outing thrilling.

Wellcraft 28, designed to protect

Like every Wellcraft, this 28-footer conveys safety and confidence. High gunwales keep the deck dry even in rough seas, while oversized handrails provide a secure grip at every stage of navigation. The model easily adapts to changing weather conditions, thanks to different windshield and hardtop configurations that offer tailored protection. Its bold style is completed by the distinctive Z-shaped line, Wellcraft’s signature aesthetic.

Mattia Camera

I was born in Liguria, a stone's throw from the sea, with which I have a special and unbreakable relationship. Since middle school I had clear ideas: I wanted to be a journalist. I like to inform myself, understand what is going on around me and build my own opinion. After a few years in Milan, between study and work, during which I gained work and life experiences, the call of the sea became too strong and I moved back to my home.
