Aquila unveils the brand-new Aquila 45 Sport

Aquila Catamarans, a global leader in the production of high-quality power catamarans, announces its participation in the 2025 Miami International Boat Show, scheduled from February 11 to 15, with a highly anticipated new debut. We’re talking about the new Aquila 45 Sport, which inaugurates a new range of sporty boats defined by bold lines, a state-of-the-art double-stepped hull, and spaces designed for entertainment and conviviality.

Versatility is the first key strength of this new model, designed for those who want to experience the sea without limits or compromises, naturally blending cruising, relaxation, and time spent together. The 45 Sport is suited to a wide range of uses: from day trips to dives in the most exclusive spots, from weekends away from the city routine to moments of conviviality with family and friends.

The 45 Sport represents Aquila’s constant drive to push the boundaries of what’s possible on the water – says Jean Raas, Chief Product Officer and CEO of Aquila USA – Our goal was clear: to create a complete entertainment platform without ever sacrificing performance”.

And it is precisely performance that represents the second key strength of the new Aquila 45 Sport. Powered by twin 600-hp Mercury Verado V12 outboards, the shipyard’s latest model can reach a top speed of over 43 knots and a cruising speed between 33 and 35 knots, allowing owners to reach any destination quickly and make the most of moments of pure relaxation and fun on the water. The innovative double-stepped hull delivers thrilling performance, reduced fuel consumption, and impeccable stability even in more demanding conditions, always ensuring a smooth ride and the high level of comfort that has become a hallmark of the American builder.

Aquila 45 Sport: between design and innovation

Developed in collaboration with Miami-based Yacht Design Works, the new Aquila 45 Sport draws inspiration from modern luxury SUVs and is built around a contemporary, innovative design language that perfectly blends a bold, modern look with the sophistication of timeless elegance. The result is a contemporary, instantly recognizable catamaran, capable of meeting the tastes and expectations of the most demanding owners.

The “heart” of the Aquila 45 Sport is the spacious aft cockpit, specifically designed for socializing and on-water activities. The fold-down bulwarks on both sides of the deck help create a large and versatile platform (a full 19 feet overall), offering owners and guests an unrivaled convivial area and direct contact with the surrounding environment. The U-shaped seating can easily be converted into a large sunpad with a height-adjustable table, while the integrated swim ladder with teak steps ensures quick and safe access to the water. The galley, optionally equipped with a barbecue and TV, completes a layout that is clearly well thought out, making it possible to spend entire days on board dedicated to relaxation and fun with friends and family.

Forward, the 45 Sport features forward-facing chaise longues, perfect for sunbathing and enjoying the view, along with generous storage lockers hidden beneath the cushions, allowing all onboard equipment to be stowed away neatly and conveniently, ensuring order and practicality.

Below deck, the cabin features a king-size bed with a memory foam mattress and a private bathroom complete with an electric WC. An advanced lithium battery system can also be installed, allowing the air conditioning to be used in off-grid mode, ensuring maximum comfort even when away from the dock.

The helm station is a true masterpiece of design and ergonomics. Equipped with four seats, it is designed to keep everything within easy reach. Flush-mounted 16-inch chartplotters, a Fusion Apollo marine audio system, a 5-inch C-Zone display, throttle controls, and ergonomic joysticks ensure simple and intuitive operation, making the driving experience consistently precise and rewarding.

Finally, the new Aquila 45 Sport sets a new benchmark in the sport boat segment thanks to a cutting-edge connectivity system. Full integration with Android and iOS devices allows owners to manage and monitor all DC systems directly from their smartphone: from underwater lighting to multicolor courtesy LED lights, from C-Zone systems to Raymarine instrumentation, from Mercury engine data to Fusion audio system controls.

A user-friendly system that keeps you constantly connected and in full control of your boat, making every moment on board simple, immediate, and thoroughly modern.
