NUVA MS6: THE POSSIBLE LINK BETWEEN SAILING AND MOTOR BOATS?

Multifunctional, convertible, suited to funny sea trips, new MS6 by Nuva Yachts is a really original project which takes its place halfway between a sailing and a motor boat.

With a length of 5.99 metres and an extendible cockpit with a beam going from 2,45m to 3,45m, the boat creates a larger space where to have lunch or enjoy a comfortable sunbathing platform when at anchor. This area is completely convertible: it can covert into a large table, while the pilot’ seat can transform into a sofa.

Entirely designed and built in Barcelona, by BYD Group ( Barcelona yacht Design), Nuva MS6 ispushed by a  70 HP outboard which ensures a maximum speed 20 knots and a cruIsing one of 14. These high performances are made possible by a fully retractablE electric keel which enters the bottom in order to improve the attitude of the boat when the engine is started. Inside, there are two beds and a bathroom. 

Sailing performances, too, are not bad. The carbon mast has a 14-metre gennaker and it reaches about 5-6 knots with a 8-knot wind. This innovative boat is the perfect solution to sail, spend your time with your family and friends, knowing that you may always be back at the home Port on time safely powered by the outboard.

Nuva Yachts was founded by Andrés Cárdenas, former CEO of Bavaria Yachtbau in Germany and Rodman. Its aim is to create boats able to give their owners the “calmness of sailing navigation and the power of engines in only one yacht”.
