The Sunseeker Predator 80

James Bond and Sunseeker are interlinked by a long collaboration that has seen the English shipyard supply numerous boats to the movies of the world’s most famous spy over the years.

Even the Predator line made its appearance and became famous thanks to Casino Royale (2006), confirming the innovative design that has always characterized the Sunseeker Predator line whose models go from 50 feet up.

If we consider the 24-meter segment, today the Sunseeker 80 can be found, as we will see, on the market at an affordable price. However, the high management and maintenance costs and their significant impact must be taken into account, considering that this boat is more than twenty years old. It’s therefore a great opportunity for true enthusiasts because it is certainly one of the most fascinating yachts of the 90s.

Exteriors

Sunseeker Predator 80 , exteriorsThe Sunseeker Predator 80 features a sleek design and soft lines, which best represent what this boat is able to offer in terms of performance, comfort and livability.

This yacht, in fact, is equipped with a large sun pad which can comfortably accommodate the owner and his guests, who can thus observe the sea undisturbed and enjoy the breezes of the high speeds that the Sunseeker Predator 80 is able to reach. The presence of a large sundeck, however, sacrifices the possibility of having an external dinette, absent on this boat which, sun pad aside, does not have a real open-air convivial space.

The stern accommodates a U-shaped seat and an elegant sunbathing platform.

Interiors

The interiors of Sunseeker Predator 80 ,interiorsthe Sunseeker Predator 80 are in perfect 90s style, thus a little old-fashioned if you don’t like the genre. The bow gives access to the interiors, the heart of the boat, which, thanks to numerous windows and a retractable sunroof, are flooded with a considerable amount of natural light. The leitmotiv of the furniture is wood, a material that makes the yacht more welcoming, and which is enriched by the white leather seats.

The helm station provides both the pilots and passengers with a wide space which ensures great comfort when sailing.

The night area can accommodate up to 8 people. It consists, in fact, of four cabins, each with its own bathroom, which makes the yachts a perfect option to sail with your family and friends.

The master cabin features an en-suite bathroom, a spacious walk-in closet, a comfortable seat and a private staircase.

Sunseeker Predator 80 – Engine options

The Sunseeker Predator 80 is a boat designed to offer a comfortable sailing experience combined with great performance. This model is powered by three MAN ASD engines, 1,200HP each, which can deliver a top speed of 45 knots. We can therefore say that the Sunseeker Predator 80 is a yacht that can be appreciated even by speed lovers, thanks to her powerful engine, which increases both the price and performance.

However, it should be noted that the engines of this boat date back to the 90s. To buy a yacht that has such an important engine and so many miles behind it means to face important economic outlays, not least in terms of consumption.

Secondly, on the other hand, it should be taken into account that, in the event of failures, the cost of repairing or, worse, replacing MAN engines would be very high.

Prices and market evaluations

Today, the market offers many versions of the Sunseeker Predator 80 at very different prices. While some models are quite expensive because they have recently undergone important refits, others are identical to the first 1996-built models and their price inevitably depends on their state of wear.

The Sunseeker Predator 80 is a yacht which, since 1996, has been retained all her charm and which can be the right option for all those who, fascinated by her lines, are willing to accept her high management costs.
