Aquila Catamarans debuts at boot Düsseldorf with the new Aquila 42 Coupé

For the first time in its history, Aquila Catamarans will take part in boot Düsseldorf with a yacht on display. From January 17-25, 2026, inside Messe Düsseldorf, the shipyard will showcase the Aquila 42 Coupé, marking a strategic step in its expansion into the European market.

Aquila 42 Coupé, engineering innovation and Hydro Glide technology

Displaying the yacht indoors will allow visitors to get a close look at the Aquila Hydro Glide system, made of carbon fiber and installed as standard on the Aquila 42 Coupé. This semi-foiling solution reduces fuel consumption by up to 40% compared to a traditional monohull.

At a cruising speed of 30 knots, the yacht can reach an estimated range of about 545 nautical miles, with fuel consumption between 0.64 and 0.68 km/l (1.5–1.6 mpg). During in-water boat shows, the system is normally submerged. In Düsseldorf, however, it will be fully visible on the exhibition floor, allowing visitors to appreciate its design and technical solutions in detail.

Aquila 42 Coupé, sporty livability with a cruising spirit

The Aquila 42 Coupé is designed to combine the performance of a sporty boat with the usability of a cruiser. With a beam of 15 feet 11 inches (about 4.85 m), it offers particularly generous spaces for conviviality on board. The single-level layout connecting the salon and cockpit creates a seamless flow between areas, while the large side windows and electrically opening roof enhance natural light and the connection with the outdoors. Below deck, there are two independent cabins, each with its own private bathroom and separate shower, ideal for short cruises or weekend getaways in total comfort.

The model on display at the show will be equipped with Volvo Penta D6 engines delivering 440 horsepower, paired with DPI drive and dual propellers. The Aquila 42 Coupé is also available with an alternative setup featuring two 400-horsepower Mercury Verado V10 outboards, catering to different operational preferences in terms of handling, performance, and design philosophy.

Global strategy and recognitions

“ Boot Düsseldorf is a key moment to strengthen our presence in Europe and engage directly with industry professionals and boating enthusiasts”, said Alain Raas, Global Brand Director of Aquila Catamarans. The shipyard will showcase its entire product line, from the latest developments in the sailing segment to the Molokai range dedicated to fishing, as well as the sporty models, the coupé versions, and the yacht and luxury categories.

The exhibition also comes at a particularly favorable time for the brand. The Aquila 46 Coupé recently received the Yacht Style Award 2025 and is a finalist for the European Powerboat of the Year 2026, with the winner to be announced during the show.
