BLACK SWAN: A 23-THOUSAND-HORSEPOWER SWAN

More than a swan, she looks like an arrow, while her black colour reminds 007 movies, where bad guys sail on stunning black yachts.

In reality, she’s a 70-metre superyacht designed by the Turkish designer Timur Božca, who defines Black Swan a “yacht with simple lines and elegant design“. Moreover, he adds: ” I believe that simplicity is an important factor in making a design elegant and clean”.

One among the main features of this simplicity are two balconies forward that are protected by glass railings, offering unobstructed views out to sea.

 

At mid-boat, on the contrary, the designer has placed a myriad of small triangular windows of different sizes. This way, natural light enters inside the boat by creating the illusion of a clear cut and a separation between hull and superstructure.

On the external bridge, in the rear part of the yacht, there is a real beach club, a sort of luxury club whose pieces of furniture rotate around the swimming pool. Most of this area is overlooked by an inclined-glass wall which extends over the main deck towards the rear part of the upper deck.

On the very top deck, there is also a helicopter platform accessible through a concealed lift.

Interiors, dominated by black coulour and its shades everywhere,  can receive up to 12 guests in 6 suites and a master’s one. General areas benefit from white furniture while cabins feature brown tones.

To enhance the travel experience of the passengers, the luxury yacht is equipped with four engines that can generate a total power of up to 23,172 Horsepower. While cruising speed is about 20 knot, the top speed is 28 knots. To keep the enormous engines working, the fuel capacity is 183,000 litres, while the water tank has a capacity of 38,600 litres.
