The Cap Camarat 10.5 WA Series2 in detail
Safety is a leitmotif of this model—with ergonomics, generous volumes, and spacious layouts throughout. At the stern, there’s a well-sized cockpit with a C-shaped sofa, and a starboard-side opening that significantly increases the surface area, creating a terrace that’s especially useful when at anchor. The aft platforms provide easy access to the water and make engine checks simple and convenient.
At the center of the deck is a well-equipped galley unit featuring a cooktop, sink, and a large fridge. The large T-top protects the console area, and both the front and rear sections can be fitted with a shade canopy. This model also includes a full-width windscreen which, unlike the previous version, offers excellent protection from wind and cold. The yard has still included a small porthole on it, which—along with the two large skylights in the roof—ensures good airflow on sunny days. There are three forward-facing seats with great visibility, making for a very comfortable driving experience. The side supports act as sturdy handholds, helping when moving to and from the bow, essentially serving as grab rails.
At the bow, there are three comfortable chaise longues and a generous side walkway that makes anchoring maneuvers—like bringing the mooring line to the bow—much easier.
One of the available options on this JEANNEAU 10.5 WA Series 2 is a quick-to-install sunshade, perfect for protecting against the sun or evening humidity—ideal for enjoying an aperitif and soaking in the view.
Interiors
The choice of light wood combined with white upholstery enhances the natural light coming through the side windows, increasing the sense of space inside the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 10.5 WA Series 2.
On the port side, there’s a galley built into the wall, served by a large low cabinet, and a generously sized sofa with a folding table that allows the cockpit area to be converted into an additional cabin.
To starboard, there’s a bathroom with a semi-separated shower and access to the aft cabin, which—despite the boat’s overall length—offers a surprisingly comfortable bed.
Sea Trial
We head out of the harbor with a steady swell and rising wind—not exactly extreme conditions, but definitely challenging. The outboard engines are twin Yamaha 450 V8 5.6L, and on a boat measuring just 9.95 meters overall with a displacement of 4,200 kg, we’re definitely in for some fun.I immediately open up the throttle to test the acceleration, and within seconds we’re on plane at 3,000 rpm, hitting a speed of 13.4 knots. Fuel consumption at this stage is around 75 liters in total.
Despite the waves hitting the hull, I keep accelerating until I reach the point where going any faster becomes impractical. I settle at 4,300 rpm and a speed of 28 knots, which I can comfortably maintain, thanks in part to the integrated electric steering. I tweak the trim and ease off the throttle a bit—at 19 knots, I find the sweet spot for these sea conditions and take the opportunity to perform a few tight turns. The boat handles the waves smoothly, with no jerky movements or course corrections. I accelerate slightly during the turn to try and force the props to lose grip, but the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 10.5 WA Series 2 remains steady and glides through even these tricky conditions with ease. I alternate between turns and counter-turns, and the boat’s balance stays flawless—fully living up to the name it carries.
