ICE Yachts: The New ICE80 Blue Water and ICE70 Sport Debut at Cannes 2026

ICE Yachts arrives in Cannes with two world premieres. The Italian shipyard will bring the ICE80 Blue Water and ICE70 Sport to the French boat show for their absolute debuts: the first combines comfort and performance for owners dedicated to long cruises, while the second interprets offshore sailing in a sportier key.

The two world premieres from ICE Yachts at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, scheduled from September 8 to 13, represent two complementary interpretations of sailing. ICE80 Blue Water and ICE70 Sport are two fast cruisers united by the search for performance, build quality, and comfort, but developed with different philosophies. All that remains is to wait for the French boat show to discover them up close, but in the meantime, we can provide some previews.

ICE80 Blue Water, the new ICE Yachts flagship

ICE80 Blue Water stems from the well-established collaboration between ICE Yachts and Felci Yacht Design. Its exterior profile is characterized by a few essential lines, with particular attention to proportions. The hull modeling and the coachroof glazing contribute to defining a sporty yet elegant image.

Among the most distinctive elements is the curved glass windshield, inspired by the lines of the Riva Super Aquarama from the 1960s, which simultaneously serves a protective function and contributes to the yacht’s aesthetic characterization.

The result is a boat capable of maintaining a responsive behavior and a sporty stance, but incorporated into a comfort-oriented setup. The pursuit of performance also involves technical components. The retractable keel, designed and manufactured using CNC machinery and supplied by Apm, transfers the power of the sail plan through an all-carbon structure; meanwhile, the steering system was developed with the goal of ensuring high control precision. The shipyard used specific materials and technologies for sports navigation, including JP3 race bushings and an autoclave-molded carbon rudder stock. Taken together, these solutions aim to deliver a prompt helm response and precise management of the yacht, guaranteeing sufficient power and stability to face any wind and wave condition.

The design care of ICE80 Blue Water also extends to the deck. The natural teak used for outdoor spaces is selected and crafted with special attention to finishing quality, helping define an environment consistent with the yacht’s refined layout. The lines are further enhanced by the adoption of flush, retractable deck hardware, which keeps the boat’s profile cleaner. In addition, the adoption of a modern 48 V electrical system achieves significant weight savings in favor of performance.

ICE70 Sport: the new interpretation of the fast cruiser

ICE70 Sport is instead the new model in the shipyard’s sports range. In this case as well, the design features Umberto Felci and his team as key players, with an approach oriented toward maximizing the hull’s speed and responsiveness. The project aims to achieve high performance levels through optimized construction, without sacrificing the refinement and comfort necessary for long-distance cruising.

The ICE70 Sport is thus born as a fast cruiser in which the sports component represents one of the central elements, but is integrated with a configuration also intended for offshore sailing. To combine performance with endless destination possibilities, the ICE70 Sport features a high-precision lifting keel system equipped with Cariboni hydraulics. Its draft can vary from 2.75 to 4.47 meters, allowing the yacht’s behavior and navigation possibilities to adapt to different operating conditions. This solution represents one of the yacht’s most important technical elements, as it combines a performance-oriented setup with the option to reduce draft when necessary.

The sporty character of the ICE70 Sport is completed by a generously sized sail plan and a full carbon rig. The spar package, optimized to exploit the full potential of the hull, is paired with a furling boom and Harken electric winches. The combination of sail plan, components, and lifting keel is designed to offer a dynamic response and high efficiency, while maintaining management compatible with cruising use.

Below deck, the ICE70 Sport manages to reconcile the project’s sporty philosophy with incredibly comfortable environments. The layout was developed to offer immense spaces, refined materials, and advanced technological solutions. The goal is to maintain the ability to undertake extended offshore cruises without sacrificing the dynamic characteristics that define the Sport range by ICE Yachts.

Conclusions

ICE80 Blue Water and ICE70 Sport represent two different yet complementary approaches to high-performance sailing. In both cases, the common denominator is the pursuit of a sailing experience where performance and refinement can coexist. The Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 will represent an opportunity for ICE Yachts to present these two projects designed to strengthen the shipyard’s presence in offshore sailing and the fast cruiser segment.
