Moonrise evolves: the new superyacht features subtle, refined elegance

With a sleek, understated profile free of superfluous embellishments, yet still unmistakably distinctive, Moonrise—the new superyacht from Feadship—has just left the Dutch shipyard’s facility in Makkum and is ready to turn heads in harbors around the world. For the world leader in custom superyacht construction, this new Moonrise is an evolution of the model originally built in 2020, enhancing aesthetics, comfort, and performance while staying true to its refined and authentic DNA.

Measuring 101 meters in length with a beam of 15.5 meters, the new Moonrise represents the pinnacle of Feadship’s forward-thinking design approach. While it retains the signature exterior lines of De Voogt Studio and interiors by Rémi Tessier, the yacht sets a new benchmark thanks to its advanced technology, reimagined outdoor spaces, and a groundbreaking superstructure that does away with the usual satellite domes.

One of the new Moonrise’s standout aesthetic features is its uninterrupted silhouette, made possible by integrating Starlink satellite receivers directly into the superstructure. This design choice eliminates the need for visible domes—traditionally required to house VSAT and TVRO antennas—allowing for a far sleeker, minimalist profile. While the previous Moonrise featured five such domes, their complete removal in this version significantly enhances the yacht’s clean, streamlined look.

In addition to her cleaner lines, the new Moonrise features a taller mast and a significantly extended day deck, now home to a full wellness area that includes a massage room, gym, and a salon for beauty and hair treatments. All of the superyacht’s exterior decks have been lengthened compared to the earlier version, creating more generous spaces for relaxation and entertainment. A large swim platform offers direct access to the sea, further boosting the yacht’s appeal.

Interior details—once again entrusted to renowned designer Rémi Tessier—remain tightly under wraps, but there’s no doubt they will reflect the same bespoke craftsmanship and elegance that defined the 2020 model. Confirmed new additions from the yard include a private cinema on the bridge deck and a dedicated owner’s deck.

Beyond her refined aesthetics, the new Moonrise is built to elevate onboard comfort and sustainability through advanced engineering. The yacht’s naval architecture, developed by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects, has been fine-tuned to maximize stability and comfort, whether underway or at anchor. Special attention has been paid to reducing internal and underwater noise, with remarkable results achieved through innovations such as next-generation propellers specifically designed to minimize acoustic emissions. Another standout feature is the yacht’s anchor winch, a completely new design unseen on the market before. It dramatically reduces vibrations and noise while optimizing the chain path for smoother, more efficient operations.

Now out of the shed, Moonrise has entered the final outfitting phase, during which interior installations and last adjustments to onboard systems and services will take place. Sea trials are scheduled in the coming months, after which the yacht will be delivered to her owner.
