New Greenline 50: The evolution of a bestseller

Greenline Yachts is renewing one of its most iconic models with a roomier, more high-tech, and obviously sustainability-oriented 50-foot yacht. The Slovenian shipyard has unveiled the design for the new Greenline 50, which is set to carry on the legacy of the Greenline 48—one of the most popular and long-standing yachts in the shipyard’s lineup. After more than a decade of commercial success, the Greenline 48 is making way for a new vessel that keeps the brand’s philosophy intact while introducing major evolutions in terms of design, livability, and technology.

The first Greenline 50 is already well into construction, and its launch is scheduled for late summer in Portorož, Slovenia.

Greenline 50 looks to the future without betraying tradition

For Greenline Yachts, launching a new model is always a significant milestone. The shipyard’s philosophy is rooted in building timeless boats on robust, continuously updated technical platforms.

Evolved design and Greenline DNA

The new Greenline 50 represents a natural evolution of the styling language that has made the Slovenian brand recognizable throughout the boating world. Key signature elements remain, such as the high, protective bulwarks, the sleek superstructure, the expansive glass surfaces, and the availability of hybrid propulsion, which has always been one of the shipyard’s core strengths.

Its larger dimensions compared to the outgoing model have allowed for even better interior spaces and onboard livability while maintaining a highly versatile layout. The configuration features three cabins that can be set up with double or twin beds depending on the owner’s needs, paired with up to three bathrooms. The goal is to provide a solution capable of satisfying both family-oriented owners and those who want to embark on longer cruises with guests onboard.

Special attention has been paid to interior brightness, enhanced by the large panoramic windows that define the salon and the entire main deck. One of the most appreciated aspects of the Greenline philosophy—the seamless continuity of spaces—is elevated even further on the new 50-foot model. In fact, the main deck is on a single level, with no steps between the cockpit and the salon, creating a fluid and easily accessible environment. This is complemented by greater interior customization options featuring new finishes and materials, as well as a particularly extensive options list that includes onboard electronics, household appliances, and amenities tailored to life at sea.

Among the most interesting innovations is the redesigned stern area. Owners will be able to choose between two main configurations: a large garage designed for a tender and water toys, or an additional crew cabin. In the storage-focused solution, the entire cockpit seating area lifts upward to grant direct access from the swim platform. On the other hand, those who opt for the crew cabin benefit from increased interior headroom thanks to a different access configuration through the transom door.

Hybrid propulsion and energy independence

True to its identity, Greenline continues to invest in sustainable propulsion. The first Greenline 50 will integrate the Greenline 6G hybrid system, paired with a battery pack and solar panels that can power most onboard services in a completely electric and silent mode for extended periods. When needed, the system can work in synergy with the diesel propulsion, ensuring efficiency, range, and maximum operational flexibility.

The flybridge takes center stage in the onboard experience

Just like the Greenline 45 and Greenline 58 models, the new Greenline 50 will also be available in a Flybridge version. The first hull currently under construction is actually this version, where the upper deck houses a second fully equipped helm station alongside sunpads, lounge seating, and a social dining table. The setup is completed by an integrated refrigerator and wet bar, designed to make the flybridge one of the main social hubs of the yacht.
