Jeanneau: three motor premieres at the next Cannes Yachting Festival

8 mins read

The Cannes Yachting festival 2023 is now only a few weeks away, and Jeanneau is ready to introduce the whole world to as many as 3 motor yachts that will be added to the iconic French shipyard’s extensive range starting this year.

Since its inception in 1957, Jeanneau has always paid close attention to the development of new boats that had to aim to be better performing, more comfortable, more elegant and more innovative than their predecessors. With this spirit of construction and enterprise Jeanneau has dominated the European market in a short time, first with sailboats and now, also with motor boats.

The Europe’s most important boat show will provide the French boatyard with the perfect stage to present three new powerboats: the new DB 37 Outboard, the new Merry Fisher 895 Series 2 and the Cap Camarat 9.0 WA Series 2. Jeanneau’s relentless and excellent construction efforts never cease to amaze; in fact, few Shipyards are able to present three new models in one year, and present them all at one international event, but let’s take a closer look at them now…

The beautiful DB 37 is now offered in a new Ourboard version. The elegant day boat with modern and sophisticated lines by Camillo Garroni and high performance hull by Michael Peters, unleashes all its power with two Yamaha 450HP outboard engines.

Innovations also include the new steering joystick which significantly simplifies mooring maneuvers, making them easy and safe even for beginners. The wide, comfortable and extremely cozy deck layout makes the new DB 37 OB a boat well suited to the needs of those who want to experience the thrill of speed combined with luxury and comfort at anchor.

The arrangement of spaces is designed to perfection, and despite being a sporty boat, it is very protective: the all-round windshield covers the helm station, the walkways to the forward cockpit are well recessed and easy to access, the aft swim platform helps with access to the water, and the side terraces expand the space when at anchor. The cabins are also spacious, bright and comfortable, able to accommodate guests for short cruises so that the pleasure of being aboard DB 37 is not interrupted at the end of the day.

Jeanneau Merry Fisher 895 Series 2

A new weekender is about to join the Jeanneau range. Designed to enjoy unforgettable cruising experiences, this boat is extraordinarily versatile and easy-to-handle. Now offered in a new guise, Merry Fisher 895 returns to the market with a contemporary design and new equipment. The first powerboat launched in 2012 (Merry Fisher 855) was the first boat over 8 meters to have two separate cabins.

Today, the new Merry Fisher 895 Series 2 has interpreted the features that made the first series so successful as of 2017 with 1,800 boats sold worldwide. Certainly comfort and safety in navigation are the crucial focus of developments by the Jeanneau design office and Centkowski & Denert.

The new hull shape allows for even faster planing, even from intermediate speeds. Offered with two 250-hp engines, Merry Fisher 985 Series 2 also features Yamaha’s best technology, with steering joysticks for safer cruising and mooring.

The modular layouts provide ample outdoor space with a level of functionality unmatched on an 8-meter boat. The opening side hatch makes it easy to access the dock or a pier, while the U-shaped cockpit with folding bench and large refrigerator allows guests to experience intense moments of relaxation on board. New on board is the forward cockpit which ensures safety and fluidity of movement: in fact, comfort is one of the main focuses of this boat. Comfort is also king in the interiors, which are warm and cozy, with large windows, a spacious galley, two separate cabins and a beautiful space for indoor dining, perfect to use the boat even at times other than summer and perhaps in bad weather.

After the Cap Camarat 8.5 WA and the Cap Camarat 9.0 WA, the Cap Camarat 9.0 WA Series 2 is the latest addition to the Jeanneau range this year. This version with two berths has been highly anticipated internationally, especially for the American market, and will soon be officially world premiered at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Inspired by the larger Cap Camarat models such as the Cap Camarat 10.5 WA and 12.5 WA, this model opens up new possibilities for lovers of fast cruising, thanks to its large volume and ergonomic design. Cap Camarat 9.0 WA Series 2 is a concentrate of design and functionality that allows a comfortable and safe life on board, also thanks to the new V-shaped hull signed by Michael Peters.

It mounts up to 2 250-hp engines and its seaworthiness is spectacular; this boat is made to go fast, without neglecting its contemporary and sporty look. The glass windshield and T-Top protect the exterior spaces, which can be transformed according to one’s needs: the aft backrest becomes a large sundeck, the side deck extends the cockpit toward the sea, the new outdoor galley allows you to cook and enjoy good times with friends, grill and refrigerator can now be mounted together with optional support furniture.

The interior is very bright, large windows in the hull help create a warm, refined environment and give it a sense of spaciousness. Two double berths with separate toilet and shower also allow guests to live on board at night in comfort, making strategic use of space. Jeanneau‘s new Cap Camarat 9.0 WA Series 2 is suitable for anyone who wants to combine the fun of cruising with comfort and relaxation at anchor.
